Not good, not terrible
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
I got Kobra K3 combo few days ago. I have run some tests on it and I can say that I am not satisfied with it so far. I am still blaming everything on "user experience" so that's why it got 2 stars not 1 at the moment.
I will continue doing some tests and adjustments to see if the results can be improved.
But so far here's the issues I am facing:
1) warped build plate - middle is great but two corners are warped down ending up in a underextrusion on the sides - turning the 25x25 cm build volume into more of a 10x10 cm usable arena.
2) The underextrusion is terrible on the sides, but it is also visible on top layers even if the object is placed in the center. (should be fixable with adjusted settings, but would assume that printer is working once put together and does not tons of tinkering right away).
3) Ace pro (material system box) does not work properly - when I try to extrude the material, Ace Pro device does not feed it in the printer. (when I change a spool slot, it works for 1 print and then does not work for the next print). - Due to this I have not yet tested any multicolor print.
4) Anycubic slicer is not great. If you are used to Bambu Labs slicer then Anycubic's sclicer will feel very bad UI and very basic setting changes.
All in All I am not happy with this printer. I will keep testing it as I hope that it will be "fixed" by tinkering with settings.
If so, then I will give it 4 stars, if not then 1 star.
Now something good about the printer:
1) It is rather fast, default settings give me the same print times as my Bambu Lab P1P / P1S printers.
2) It is simple to get things printing from PC - just connect the Printer with wifi and sending prints is effortless.
3) Layer lines are great - not too visible
As I read in the Anycubic Kobra 3 combo Facebook Group - it is similar to Creality K1 - either you get lucky and the printer works great or you get a faulty machine with warped built plate and you need to tinker a lot to have at least some hopes for it to be working properly.
For me it will work good enough for the "prototyping" of new designs to see if they work as intended, but it will definitely not be used for products that are meant to be sold and require level of quality.
Can't recommend this printer (yet)
