Description
The Mosquito Magnum+ Convection Shield is a robust convection shield that was developed for the Mosquito Magnum+ hotends. Its precision-machined, high-temperature aluminum frame ensures excellent heat resistance while providing the ideal protection against convective heat loss by preventing external cooling of the heater block. Suitable partial cooling is particularly advantageous for high-speed printing - with the protective shield, the filament leaves the nozzle at the optimally set temperature!
The convection shield features a thin air gap and ceramic insulator that combine to minimise heat transfer from the heater block to the convection shield. Installing the Mosquito Magnum+ Convection Shield is easy thanks to the built-in screws!
Note: The convection shield is only compatible with RepRap nozzles with a hex ≤ 6 mm.
Compatibility with Hotends:
- Mosquito Magnum+ Liquid Cooled 1.75mm
- Mosquito Magnum+ Liquid Cooled 2.85mm
- Mosquito Magnum+ Air Cooled 1.75mm
- Mosquito Magnum+ Air Cooled 2.85mm
Attention: Before nozzles can be changed, the convection protection shield must be removed.
