The modified T-47 Airspeeder, manufactured by Incom Corporation, reaches a speed of over 1100 km / h using an afterburner but is not suitable for space flight. The re-engineered T-47 is called the Snowspeeder and was used in the battle on the ice planet Hoth to keep the approaching AT-AT in check. The hard-wearing ropes, which were originally intended for the transportation of heavy loads and were used effectively against the AT-ATs, are fired with harpoons.
