Description
The PCTG from Extrudr is a scratch-resistant filament with a glassy look, which is characterised by high chemical and thermal resistance, as well as exceptionally high mechanical properties. Despite being flexible, the PCTG has good stiffness and very good impact resistance. The PCTG also has flame-retardant properties according to UL94 V2 and HB, and meets certifications such as Cosmetic, FDA, Reach and Rohs.
As a modified copolyester, PCTG is suitable for industrial applications. Its heat resistance of 80 to 90 °C makes it particularly interesting in the manufacture of electronic components and kitchen utensils. The material is easy to work with and therefore also suitable for beginners!
Tip: With sufficient heat and less cooling, the layer adhesion is excellent!

Unfortunately, you won't find a filament as rigid as glass. The closest would be PLA but it is still a lot more flexible than glass. In terms of visuals, transparent filament shows layer lines and infill when printed. Printing as few walls as possible and lowest layer height will help but it will still not be clear. For best results, we would recommend using something like Polysmooth filament with alcohol vapour to smooth out layer lines for absolute clarity.
