For the highest temperatures

These blocks are designed for ultimate high-temperature performance. Made from a special high-temperature copper alloy with a softening point of well over 500 ° C (compared to aluminium blocks that lose stability from 350 ° C) and a greatly increased thermal conductivity, these copper blocks are ideal for high-temperature applications. Perfect for everyday filaments such as PLA, ABS and Co.

In addition to high-temperature resistance, these blocks have an advanced nickel-based coating that significantly reduces the adhesion of plastic to the block. This is ideal for everyday filaments to keep the heating block clean and shiny. This is particularly important at temperatures above 300 ° C, where a silicone sock cannot be used.

Why copper?

Copper has more than three times the thermal conductivity of brass, and the copper alloy we use has been hardened and treated to reduce the oxidation of copper at high temperatures. A small side effect is that the higher thermal conductivity of the copper also slightly increases the heating times, but also enables more precise temperature control. This copper alloy is very temperature-resistant and only begins to soften or glow well above 500 ° C. It is perfect for high-temperature printing that aluminium heating blocks cannot handle.
